I’m a wife, mother, grandmother and work part-time as an administrative assistant. Monday and Tuesdays are dedicated to studio time. Finding time to create my art is challenging but also extremely rewarding when I get the chance to finally make it happen. My studio is located in a loft area of our home and it has provided me with many hours of happy painting.
I am honored to be an artist member of the following organizations:
American Women Artists
The Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, NYC
The Salmagundi Club, Fifth Avenue, NYC
The National Society of Painters in Casein and Acrylic
National Oil & Acrylic Painters Society
Wyoming Valley Art League, Wilkes Barre, PA
The Cider Painters of America, Dallas, PA
While this blog is related to all things artistic that are going on in my studio, none of it would be happening if not for the wonderful and supportive people in my life. I would be remiss if I did not mention them here. My husband and soulmate, Barry, who many times will push a broom so that I can have a few more hours to push paint. My sons, John and Brad and my lovely daughter-in-law Jess. My step-granddaughter, Kaya, my grandson, Otto whose hugs and kisses will forever lift me up and my beautiful granddaughter, Sophie Louise. And last but not least, my father, who would always make sure that a certain 12 year old always had the drawing pencils, pastels and sketch pads that she requested. Thank you Daddy, I miss you.
That was one smart Dad!
He was a wonderful man and was always my biggest fan….and now my husband has taken over the role of supporter and he does a fine job. 🙂
